Eugene "Gene" Carleton Humphrey, age 66, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, October 7th, 2014. A native of St. Albans, VT he was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ann Green; and his wife, Terry Lee Humphrey. Mr. Humphrey is survived by his son, Eugene "Gene" Carleton and his wife Erika of Milton, VT; daughter, Kathleen Mary Humphrey of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Joey Green and his wife Kelly of Spartan, IL; grandchildren, Megan and Alyson Humphrey; many nieces and nephews; and several special friends at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Humphrey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Air Force. Gene Humphrey was a proud employee of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Gene retired with 25 years of dedicated service to the United States Government. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
