ESTHER ANNE LANE, age 78, of Lascassas, died January 17 , 2011. Mrs. Lane was a native of Rutherford Co., and daughter of the late Alex and Dora Ilene Blithe Haynes. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Paul Norwood officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lane is survived by a son, James Keith Lane of Lascassas; a daughter, Melissa (Mike) Bailey of Lascassas; sisters, Peggy Puckett of Murfreesboro and Willie Ivie of Murfreesboro; brothers, George Haynes of Lavergne and Reuben Haynes of Christiana; brother in law, Earl Lane of Lascassas; sister in law. Agnes Haynes, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, James, Thomas, and Brittany Bailey, and Benjamin and Joshua Lane; and great grandchildren, Desteney and Alex Bailey. Mrs. Lane was married to the late Thomas Lane who died in 1980. Mrs. Lane was a member of Walter Hill Church of Christ and a retired cook at the Alvin C. York VA Hospital. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bailey, James Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Earl Lane, W.L. Lamb, Ricky Bailey, and Steve Bailey. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
