Ernest "Ray" Sanders, age 67 died Friday August 14, 2015 at his home. He was born November 28, 1947 and was a native of Rutherford County. Mr. Sanders served in the United States Army and was a member of The Shepherds Chapel in Gravette, AR. He was retired from the City of Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Coleman Sanders; children, Angela Sanders, Lisa Fox, and Terry Ray Sanders and wife Mandi; grandchildren, Justin Cash, Devon Fox, Jacob Davis, Alexis Wells, Collin Roberts, Haliey Wells, Tanner Sanders; sisters, Marie Jones and husband Jimmy, Patsy White and husband Carl, Jane Pfeiffer and husband Randy; brother, Jerry Sanders and wife Bobbi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Sanders and Mary McDougal Sanders; one granddaughter, Kayla Breanne Wells. Military Honors will be at 7:00PM on Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial at later date at Coleman Cemetery.
