Ernest Lee Effler, age 68 of Smyrna, died Monday in Nashville after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Townsend, Tennessee and a son of the late Hoyle and Juanita Effler. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Roy of Maryville.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda Effler; son, Bryan "Bo" Effler of Smyrna; daughters, Bethany White and husband Jimmy of Hartsville and Kim Hall and husband Jo of Knoxville; grandchildren, Bryleigh Jade and Hayden May Effler, Kaytielynn Grace and Brentson Owen White, and Alyse Becquet and husband Robert of Ft. Lewis, WA., two great grandchildren, Darian and Raena Becquet; sisters, Patricia Goodson and Teresa Suttle, both of Maryville, his twin sister, Betty Law of Rockford; and a brother, Larry Effler of Old Hickory.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Mapleview Cemetery with Bro. Matt Brown officiating.
