Obituary

Erlene Brashear Bugg, age 83 of Murfreesboro, died at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Bugg was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Clyde Brashear and Emma Patterson Bogle. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Burton Bugg who died in 2009. Mrs. Bugg is survived by five sons, Larry Bugg and his wife Gail of Lascassas, David Bugg and his wife Brenda of Atlanta, Bobby Bugg and his wife Kathy of Lascassas, Steve Bugg of Murfreesboro, and Bruce Bugg and his wife Myra of Lascassas; two daughters, Charlene Farley and her husband Larry of Lascassas, and Janice Bugg of Murfreesboro; step-mother Lura Dimmock; two sisters Mary Drennan and Betty Alsup all of Murfreesboro; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bugg was a faithful wife and loving mother. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and a former employee of Middle Tennessee Christian School. She enjoyed, birds, flowers, clocks and most of all being with her family. Graveside services will be 2:30pm Friday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Hutson will officiate. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Third Baptist Church or Caris Healthcare.
