Emil Anthony Flosi, born October 10, 1926 in San Jose, California passed away May 5, 2014 at the age of 87 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.He passed peacefully surrounded by many who loved him. He is preceded in death by wife Ruth Flosi, his parents Emil Anthony Flosi, Sr. and Elizabeth Mello George, his son Daryl Flosi and brothers Gene and Ed Flosi. Mr. Flosi is survived by his daughter Barbara Bell and her husband Bradley of LaVergne; five grandchildren, Christopher Bell of LaVergne and his girlfriend Donnelle Rockinger of Murfreesboro, Rebekah Mickelson and her husband David of Utah, Kevin Anthony Bell and his wife Crystal of LaVergne, David Flosi and his wife Cetta of Virginia and Lisa Flosi Taylor of Maryland; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Flosi was a WWII veteran and served as a Seabee with the Navy. He served as a police officer for the city of San Jose, California and was one of the first six paid firefighters for the city of Santa Clara, California where he served 17 years and achieved the rank of Captain. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and playing poker. He also enjoyed spending his time with dear friends at Meadowlawn Manor. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Meadowlawn Fellowship Hall, 99 Nelson Circle, Smyrna, TN 37167.
