Obituary

Emalyn J. Pinkerton, age 98 of Rockvale, Tennessee died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Stones River Manor surrounded by her family. She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Grady Jackson and Ida Jeanette Holt Jackson. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Clay "Scoot" Pinkerton and Nathaniel "Nat" Pinkerton; a sister, Ann Jackson Huckaba; brothers, Wayne Jackson and Henry Grady "Stokey" Jackson; and son in law, John Allen Center, who was like a son to Emalyn.

Survivors include a son, Clay "Jackie" Jackson Pinkerton and wife Hope of Bonneau, SC; a daughter, Linda Center of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Clay Pinkerton of Myrtle Beach, SC and John Center and wife Nancy of Rockvale, TN; great grandchildren, Emalyn "Emmy" Center and Katherine "Kate" Center; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was a faithful member of the Rockvale First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired in 1990 from the underwriting department at State Farm after thirty-seven years of service.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Words cannot express our deep appreciation for the loving care our mother received from the advanced care staff at Stones River Manor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mrs. Pinkerton may be made to the Rutherford County Library Foundation 1127B Dow Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
