Elvena J. Garrett, age 92 of Smyrna, died Sunday at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Hickman County, Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Wilburn and Lilly Jones. She was also preceded by husbands, J.B. Watson and James Garrett, a granddaughter, Amanda Leighann Anderson, and three brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Long and husband Darrell, Connie Jones and husband Bill, and Bonnie Peterson and husband Ken, all of Smyrna; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Garrett was a member of Giles Creek Baptist Church and had worked in the cafeteria of the Smyrna Primary School and the Tennessee Farmers Co-Op in LaVergne.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Grandsons Cody Findley and Brian Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
