ELMER POLK MARLIN, JR., age 81 of Murfreesboro died Friday December 4, 2009. He was born in Akron, Ohio and his family moved to Murfreesboro in 1930. He was the preceded in death by his parnets, Elmer Polk Marlin, Sr. and Mamie Adams Marlin; brothers, Clyde E. Marlin, Sr. and Samuel C. Marlin. He attended Minerva Drive Church of Christ, and was retired from General Electric. He served in the U. S. Army. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel Bro. Ron Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Olene Groce Marlin; step-children, Steve Victory of Blanchard, of Oklahoma, Phyllis (Preston) Dominique of Louisiana, Earl (Pat) Victory of Shelbyville; step- grandchildren, Heather Edwards, Marie Brand, Bryan Victory, Laura Steele, Shannon Abby, Randall Dominique, Allison Victory, Dixie Mast, Bryce Victory; 9 step great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Leavitt of Alpine, Texas, Peggy Welchance, Ronda Bratton, Virginia (Ralph) Puckett all of Murfreesboro.
