ELIZABETH JANET STEWART age 75 of Smyrna, died Friday July 2, 2010. A native of Kirkoswald, Scotland she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Muir Shannon. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Brother Walter Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband Clyde Stewart, daughter Mary Goins of Smyrna, sons Michael (Jeanette) Stewart of McMinnville, Richard D. Stewart, Charles D. (Liz) Stewart both of Smyrna, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and sisters May Shannon and Ina Shannon both of Scotland. Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by a grandson Gray Goins.
