Elizabeth "Laine" Phillips

Elizabeth "Laine" Phillips, age 40 of La Vergne, Tennessee, passed away on September 13, 2026.

Laine was born in Detroit, Michigan, but spent most of her life in Columbia, Tennessee, where she grew up and made many lasting memories. A dedicated and hardworking individual, she was a former employee of General Motors in Spring Hill and, most recently, worked for McDonald's at Nissan in Smyrna. Her life was defined by her devotion to her family, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, James; her loving children, Ciara, Tiara, Kory, Kamron, Jada, Cayden, Obriana, and Joshua; her devoted parents, Louis Thomas Jr. and Turoy Rogers; her sister, Samantha Baugh (Damon); and her brothers, Kerry Rogers (Ariel) and Kevin Rogers (Mayra). She also leaves behind a host of extended family members, friends, and coworkers whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. A funeral service celebrating Laine's life will follow immediately at 4:00 PM at the chapel.
