Elizabeth (Libby) Caldwell Myron passed away at age 100 on July 11, 2013 in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in Scott County, Missouri on February 5, 1913 to William and Frances Caldwell. She is from a family of ten children all of whom predeceased her. Her husband Kenneth E. Myron to whom she was married 57 years predeceased her in 1999. She is survived by daughters Marilyn Myron Mathis (Philip) of Murfreesboro, Florence Baker Woods (Fred) of Shoals,IN, and granddaughter Lori Mathis Deal (Tod) of Oregon City, OR. Following the death of a sister, she reared three nieces as her own daughters from the time the youngest child was 14 months old. Two of the three, Winifred Baker and Roberta Baker Fagan, predeceased her and leave behind nine grandchildren to remember her: Edward Leech, Don Leech, Gordon Leech, Letitia Winton, Wayne Englishbee, Wilma Davis, Carl Englishbee, Elizabeth Bremer, and Philip Englishbee. She resided in Little Rock until the death of her husband where she attended Draughon's Business College and was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for 25 years by the Arkansas Department of Public Health. She was active in her Christian faith and frequently hosted friends and ministers in her home. She was a gifted pianist, painter, seamstress, and needleworker; she was skilled in the culinary and decorative arts. She played the piano regularly into her 99th year and shared her talents through piano and porcelain china painting lessons with many students throughout her life. Her intense curiosity, love of learning, and love of life kept her "young" throughout her long life. "Miss Libby's" family extends heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Sunnington Assisted Living for the personalized love and care given her the last two years of her life.
