Elizabeth Tallent Boyd, age 93, died January 16, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. She was a native of McMinn County and a daughter of the late Furman and Mae Breeden Tallent. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jack Lavon Boyd who died in 2001.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by daughters, June Price and her husband Barry of Milton, and Connie Beaty of Murfreesboro; sister, Margaret Morrow of Riceville; four grandchildren, Rachel Smith and her husband Bart of Milton, Jennifer Hidalgo and her husband Christian, and Brad Beaty and his wife Ashley, all of Murfreesboro, and Amy Miles and her husband Jacob of Mt. Juliet; five great-grandchildren, Camden and Delaney Smith, Cody and Eli Miles, and Jackson Hidalgo.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Riceville Cemetery. Visitation and memorial services to follow at the Riceville Baptist Church. Dr. Tony Crisp will officiate. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Boyd was a member of Riceville Baptist Church, a graduate of McMinn County High School and a retired medical records librarian at Athens Community Hospital. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Stones River Manor for their loving care.
