Elise Haynes, age 84, of Murfreesboro passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016. She was a native of Clay County, TN and the daughter of the late James M. and Lula Bean Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Haynes who died in 2008, daughter, Laura Haynes who died in 2000, twin sister, Ethyl L. Leonard, sister, Dorothy Parker, brothers, D.K., James, Ray and Charles Leonard.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. David West will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by one son, David Haynes and his wife Tammie, three daughters, Mary Kennedy and her husband Jeff, Edith Smith and her husband Doug, Becky Walker and her husband Marty, all of Murfreesboro, siblings, John Leonard of Ridgetop, Mary Barrett of Trion, GA, Grace Baird of Woodbury, Rebecca Leonard of Murfreesboro, sisters-in-law, Ann Cannon of Murfreesboro, Jayne Bynum of Brentwood, Roberta Haynes of Smyrna, 8 grandchildren, Carmen Skelton and husband Jesse, Mandolyn Kennedy, Brandon and Garrette Haynes, April Gaertner and husband Jeff, Mallory Dunlap and husband Dale, Erin and Emma Walker and 8 great grandchildren, Elijah and Grace Skelton, Jeff Jr. and Jonah Gaertner, Laura and Walker Dunlap, Isaiah Insyxiengmay, and Alisha Haynes.

Mrs. Haynes was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ and retired from Whirlpool.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Bethlehem Church of Christ Building Fund in memory of Mrs. Haynes.
