Eleanor "Ellen" Daniel Chapman, age 87, of Murfreesboro died Wednesday December 30, 2015. She was a native of Rienzi, MS., and the daughter of the late Robert Elmer and Corenia Lancaster Daniel. Ms. Chapman was a charter member of Murfreesboro Community Church and worked as a mission service corps volunteer with the Concord Baptist Association for over fourteen years. She retired as a secretary with the city of Memphis Police Department where she served for over twenty years and the Pink Palace Museum in Memphis.

Ms. Chapman is survived by her children James Rodney Chapman and wife Dolores of Spring, TX, Debra Cherie Beck of Murfreesboro, Gina Lynn Halfacre of Jackson, MS and eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Celebration of her life will be Thursday January 7, 2015 at Murfreesboro Community Church at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation prior to that from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Arthur Lewis and Rev. Jim Powers will officiate.
