Edwin Henry "Butch" Tonne, Jr., age 71 of Murfreesboro passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Mr. Tonne was born in Elmhurst, IL on June 15, 1945. He has been a resident of the Murfreesboro area since 1983. He worked as a car hauler and was owner and president of his family-run business, Tonne Transport, Inc. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Mr. Tonne was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Gwendolyn Dennis Tonne and a brother, Freddie.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Valerio Tonne, sisters, Wilma Grohman (Sander) and Dorothy Hougen (Dave), brother, Dennis Tonne (Patti), children, Edwin Tonne III (Suzie), Tara Johnson (Nathan), Julie Clark (Jeremy), Colleen Sims (Bill), Jeanine Everhart (Steve), Deana Cleversey, Daniel Jernigan and Barry Jernigan, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, Les Valerio (Josie), George Valerio (Joanne), sister-in-law, Kay Reed (Donnie), and many more beloved family and friends.
