Edward "Chip" Webb Chappell, Jr., of Murfreesboro passed away on Friday March 6, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Galax, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Webb Chappell, Sr., and Eleanor Hale Chappell.

Chip was a graduate of Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a veteran of the United States AirForce and a proud supporter of Blue Raider Athletics. He was a longtime member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.

Chip was self-employed and enjoyed a long career in sales. He will be remembered as a loving father and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Chappell; children, Candace Chappell, and Chaz Chappell; sister, Marcia Tallman and husband Steve; niece, Tess Tallman; nephew, Keegan Pyle; and his dog, and loyal companion, Blade.

His funeral service will be held on Monday March 23rd at 11:00AM at St. Marks United Methodist Church Columbarium in Murfreesboro. A gathering will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Marks United Methodist Church or the Blue Raider Athletic Association.
