Edward E. "Smutt" Smotherman, age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Willie Mae Douglas Smotherman; sister, Olene Underwood; and brother, Clarence Smotherman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Wilma Ruth Warren Smotherman; daughters, Linda Smotherman, Pam Lewis and her husband Darryl, and Susan Gammon and her husband Jerry all of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Smotherman was of the Baptist Faith. He was the former owner and operator of the Columbia Roller Rink.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
