EDWARD RAYMOND LATHROP age 80 of Beechgrove, TN, died Sunday August 29, 2010 at his home. A native of Muskegon, MI, he was the son of the late Vean and Della McGarey Lathrop. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannine Lathrop who died in 1995. Mr. Lathrop is survived by his wife, Alberta Seator Lathrop of Beechgrove, TN; son, Mike Lathrop, daughters, Suzanne Costilow and Maureen Lathrop all of Murfreesboro, TN; stepsons, Terry Roberts of Michigan, and Richard Roberts of Kentucky; step children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Steve Decker and Ben Earthman officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Lathrop was a member of New Heights Chapel and retired United States Air Force and teacher. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Health Care of East Tennessee, Inc. and Hospice, 24 Mountain View Dr. Suite B, Kimball, TN 37347 in memory of Mr. Lathrop.
