Edward M. Ed Janes, age 87 of Smyrna Tennessee formerly of Hot Spring Arkansas died Tuesday September 18, 2012. He was a native of Horatio Arkansas and was the son of the late, Bud and Dorothy Coffman Janes. Mr. Janes was a fifty year member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church and owner of Ed Janes Appliance Company in Hot Springs. He was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge 419, and Lions Club in Hot Springs. Mr. Janes was an avid traveler after retirement and a faithful member of Good Sams Camping Events. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Glenna Benge Janes; children, Edward A. Janes and wife Patti of Fort Smith Arkansas, Karen Carey and husband Dane of LaVergne Tennessee, Debbie Kirk of Smyrna; grandchildren, Stephani Morrison of Fort Smith, Shawn Janes of Waldron Arkansas, Brooklin Janes of Hot Springs, Kelly Lee of Smyrna, Jeffrey Carey Chris Carey, David Carey all of LaVergne, Cory Kirk of Texas, Matthew Kirk of Smyrna, and Five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Piney Grove United Methodist Church. Memorial service will be 2:00P.M. Sunday at Piney Grove United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
