Obituary

EDWARD DEAN CORLEY, age 67, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died June 13, 2008 at his home. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Nat and Mary Jane Harris Corley. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carlene Orrand Corley; daughters, Kimberly (Randal) Mash, Hendersonville, Tn.; Renee Douglas, Murfreesboro; Glynnis (Jeff) Patton, Murfreesboro; Shannon (Kevin) Moore, Murfreesboro; son, Jeff Corley of Georgia; brothers, Bobby Corley, Woodbury; Jerry Corley, Woodbury; Paul (Fran) Corley, Rockvale; Charles (Emily) Corley, Murfreesboro; Donald (Rosemary) Corley, Readyville; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services 11 am Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Kevin Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Monday. Mr. Corley was preceded in death by a son, Rodger Corley who died in 2007, a brother Ernest (Bud) Corley and a sister, Betty Jean Bean. He was a retired contractor, a member of the Leanna Church of Christ, and a member of the Gold Wings, GWRRA. Mr. Corley was a friend to so many people because of the way that he lived his personal life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Active pallbearers will be Brian Corley, John Stahl, Terry Harris, Richard Driver, Randy Galloway and Larry Lowman. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Chapter Y of GWRRA.
