Edward P. Cook, Sr., age 71 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016. A native of Fabius, NY, he was the son of the late Allen and Helen Merwin Cook.

Mr. Cook is survived by a son, Edward P. Cook, Jr., and his wife Tracy,  of South Riding, VA; daughters, Mary Mango, and her husband Ron,  and Amanda Cook all of Murfreesboro, TN; mother of his children, Nancy Proctor of Surfside Beach, SC; brothers, John Cook of Vermont, Harry Cook of Murfreesboro, TN, Donald Cook and Barney Cook both of Manlius, NY, and Robby Cook of Syracuse, NY; sisters, Emily Dewey of Surfside Beach, SC, and June Gurney of Smithfield, VA; grandchildren, Cody, Sydney, Logan, Zachary, and Brady Cook, and Brandon Mango.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Saturday May 28, 2016 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Ron Caldwell officiating. Visitation will be Saturday two hours prior to service.

Mr. Cook was a US Army Veteran and a retired building contractor.
