Edna Link Landers McPeak, age 97, died Saturday, August 3, 2013. Mrs. McPeak was a native of White House, TN and was the daughter of the late M.A. and Maude Covington Link. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Julian Landers who died in 1979 and C.W. McPeak who died in 1997; two brothers, Everett C. Link and Thomas B. Link and one sister, Alice Lorene Lawrence. A graveside service will be at 3:00PM Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Garden. Rev. Michael O'Bannon will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. McPeak is survived by two nieces, Ann Field and her husband Norman of Tennessee Ridge, TN and Judy Lawrence of Indian Rocks Beach, FL; and two special friends, Elaine Bogle and Nell Taylor both of Murfreesboro. Mrs. McPeak was a member of United Methodist Church. She was owner and operator of Mercury Plaza Beauty Shop for 49 years before her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, Woman's Club of Murfreesboro, Hair Dressers and Cosmetologist Association, Mercury Plaza Merchants Association and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Adams Place for the love and care given to Mrs. McPeak.
