Edna Earl Robertson Caughron, 79, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Edna was born February 18, 1947, in Andalusia, Alabama, to Earl and Flora Nowlin Robertson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend whose life was centered on faith, family, and caring for others.
A woman of strong Christian faith, Edna loved Jesus and wanted those around her to know the hope and love she found in Him. She taught Vacation Bible School for many years and had a special love for children.
Edna will be remembered for her kindness, encouragement, sense of humor, and the way she made the people she loved feel supported and deeply cared for. She was a true cheerleader for her family and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Flora Robertson, and her sister, Betty.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Russell Caughron; her children, Ken Caughron and wife Greta and Betty Caughron Toler and her husband Steven; along with grandchildren, Dustin Sayre, Cade Caughron (Ellie), Caroline Caughron, William Toler (Lauren), Caleb Toler, Isabella Toler, great-grandchildren Maddison Sayre and Rachel Sayer. Her sister, Peggy Wall (Jeff) and other family members.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, 1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday following the visitation, with Dr. Dean Sisk and Dr. Mark Moore officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Edna’s family will remember her most for the love she gave so freely, the encouragement she offered so naturally, and the faith that guided her life.
