EDMON T. Mr. ED RIGSBY, age 87 of Murfreesboro died Saturday September 26, 2009. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late, Floyd and Daisy Mae Wommack Rigsby. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Nickey Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Josephine Mosley Rigsby; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Larry Armstrong of Murfreesboro; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Heather) Raffield, of Crossville, and Jonathan Raffield of Murfreesboro. Preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Reed, Catherine Bowman, and Christine Dickerson. Mr. Rigsby was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church. He retired from Burnet Binford Lumber Company in Indianapolis, IN. After his retirement he moved back to Murfreesboro and delivered medicine for Reeves Sain Drug Store for 16 years. He was a veteran in World War II serving in Southern Philippines and Western Pacific. Family will serve as pallbearers.
