EDGAR LEE HUFFSTETLER, age 87, of Murfreesboro, TN. passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010. A native of Maryville, TN. he was the son of the late Royce and Grace Giffin Huffstetler. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Jama Anderson Huffstetler in 1982, and his second wife, Kathryn Watson Huffstetler in 2010. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Candice Straughn; two loving grandsons, John Ellis Straughn III (Claire Rappoport Straughn) and Tyler Lee Straughn; and two precious great grandchildren, John Ellis Straughn IV and Jax Martin Straughn all of Winter Haven, FL; stepchildren, Janet Haavisto, Douglas Morgan, Joanna Morgan, John Morgan, and Martha Nell Tria. Funeral Services will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Gary Patton will officiate. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. EST. Friday at Carpenters Campground Cemetery in Maryville, TN. Mr. Huffstetler was a member of the Church of Christ. In his lifes work he served as the Chief Electrical Engineer of Columbia Power and Water System. Mr. Huffstetler, a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, was a proud alumnus of University of Tennessee. Pallbearers will be John Ellis Straughn III, Tyler Lee Straughn, Tom King, Bill Warden, E.C. McAdams, James Bowers, Paul Edwards, and Wayne Davenport. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M.
