Obituary

George Edward "Ed" Ammerman V, age 73, passed away in his sleep on December 20th, 2016. Born in Philadelphia in 1943, he was the son of the late George Edward IV and Harriet Rider Ammerman.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ed is survived by his wife, Nancy Shacklett Ammerman and sons: Scott and Eric Ammerman and his wife Hope, as well as their sons Brock and Cole Ammerman, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. His sister Lee Ammerman Prewitt and husband Russell also reside in Pennsylvania.

His extended family includes Jeff and Elizabeth Turpin Hamby and their children Ivan Fisher, Margaret and Melvin Hamby; and Paul and Marie Stephanie Turpin and their daughter Lucy.

Ed was a graduate of Central High School in Murfreesboro, and attended college at MTSU. He spent many years in Delaware County Pennsylvania working in the industrial heating and controls industry before returning to Murfreesboro in 1997 to marry his high school girlfriend Nancy Shacklett. He was an avid outdoorsman and nature photographer, as well as an expert dog trainer. He will be missed by many close friends that he considered his family.
