EARL FRANKLIN GRUBBS, SR. age 86, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was born in Maury County, Tn. and was the son of the late George Otey & Minnie Adams Grubbs. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Adams Grubbs; son, Earl Grubbs, Jr. of Lebanon; daughter, Sandra Gail Grubbs Vick Grubbs of Columbia; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be from 3-7 pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. He will then be taken to Oaks & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia, Tn. where visitation will be after 10 am Sunday with funeral services to follow at 1:30 pm at Oak & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Mr. Grubbs was a member of the Baptist Church and retired from Singer Corporation. Memorials in memory of Mr. Grubbs may be made to Caris Health Care.
