EARL DADDY EARL McCRARY, age 94 of Lascassas died Thursday March 5, 2009. He was a native of Dilton community and the son of the late Albert and Mattie Jane Jernigan McCrary. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro Nicky Nichols, Bro. T. J. Wakefield, Bro Charlie Bowman and Bro David West officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Campbell McCrary of Lascassas; daughter, Linda (Buddy) Brown of Lascassas; son, Fred Willard (Lois) Basham of Murfreesboro: sister, Peggy Lousie Melborn of Knoxville, TN: granddaughter, Melinda (Tim) Black of Lascassas; grandson, Erine (Suzanne W) Brown of Lascassas; great-grandchildren, LeAnn Smith, Judson, Smith, Ben Black, Bekah Brown, Brad Black all of Lascassas; granddaughters, Becky (Mitchell) Fulks of Murfreesboro, Nancy (Mark) Welch of Atlanta Georgia; step daughter Bertha Sue Trail of Milton, step sons Winfred Campbell of Lascassas, Billy Ray (Debbie) Campbell of Milton, Albert Earl ( Mildred) Campbell of Milton; of Milton; 9 step-great-grandchild and 13 step-great-great-grandchildren;. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Nora Rebecca Becky Paker Basham McCrary; son, Louie Norman Basham; sisters, Gladys McGill, and Mary Ralston, He was a member and former deacon of Lascassas Church of Christ, and was a retired Dairy Farmer. He was an active member of Rutherford County Farm Bureau and Soil Conversation. Mr. McCrary was honored with the bridge on Lofton Road over Bradley Creek named after him, Earl McCrary Bridge . Pallbearers will be Eddie Spears, Rex Rudd, Greg Waldron, Jeff Howland, Joe Thompson, Keith Kellum, Bruce Bugg, Warren Basham, Jerry McCullough, Glennis Mayo, Billy Higginbotham, Harvey Key, Frank Caffey, Paul Dodd, and Dr. E.C.
