Dwight D. Grissom, age 63, of Smyrna, TN. formerly of Martin, TN. died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Vanderbilt Hospital. A native of Fulton, KY., he was the son of the late Samuel Dewey and Corene Jones Grissom. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Travice Grissom and grandson, John Faulk. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Stones River Baptist Church with Brother G.W. Moon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Brother Mike Aldridge officiating and full military rites. Mr. Grissom is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois Grissom; daughter and son in law, Valarie and Russell Faulk of Readyville; son and daughter in law, Jeff and Shena Grissom of Bakersfield, CA.; one brother and sister in law, Samuel and Joyce Grissom of Ruthville, TN.; two sisters and a brother in law, Wanda and Benny Jackson of Palmersville, TN. and Dorothie Engstrom of Pulaski; one sister in law, Marolyn Grissom of South Fulton, TN.; two grandchildren, Ty and Levi Grissom of Bakersfield, CA. and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Grissom was a member and deacon at Stones River Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Martin High School and served with the Army National Guard for 6 years. Mr. Grissom was an operational manager with Nashville Wholesale Meats. Visitation will be with the family from 4PM to 8PM Monday at WOODFIN CHAPEL IN SMYRNA. 459-3254
