DUSTYN MICHAEL TAAPKEN age 23 of Smyrna, died Sunday May 22, 2011. Born July 18, 1987 in Springfield, IL. he had lived in Smyrna most of his adult life. Mr. Taapken is survived by his mother and step father Debra and Robert Bob Chandler of Smyrna, Father and stepmother David and Janet Taapken of IL., sister Alicia (Joe) Winningham of Smyrna,half brother Rod Taapken of IL., his grandmothers Evelyn McLaughlin and Josephine Lyons both of IL., step grandmother Marcelle Chandler of AL., his special nephew Noah better known as Kinfolk to Dustyn, as Dustyn was known as Roaddog to Noah, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Charles McLaughlin and a nephew Curtis Taapken. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Brother Dan Parker officiating.
