Duane Swensen, age 80 of Smyrna died Saturday April 7, 2018. He was a native of Chicago, Illinois and was the son of the late, Harold and Vivian Swensen. Mr. Swensen was a member of New Covenant Prosperity Church in Nashville, and was retired President of TruePenny Design Graphic Photo Studio with offices in Des Moines, Iowa, Hong Kong and Taipei. He was an active minister in the homeless community, working alongside The Cookery.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karla Swensen; children, David Swensen and wife Chris, Kevin Swensen and wife Kathy, Debra Swensen, Steve Nelson and wife Tracy, Doreen Long and husband Ed; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
