Duane Eugene "Gene" Meyers of Smyrna died Wednesday July 3, 2024. He was a native of Crown Point, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Meyers, and Pauline Meyers, sister, Shirley Patterson and brother, Phillip Meyers; daughter in law, Margo Meyers spouse of Scott Meyers, Donna Meyers spouse of Greg Meyers.

Mr. Meyers was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Indiana University and retired from Rand McNally. Gene was a good and faithful servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His life long journey was shaped by his strong Lutheran faith he carried.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette Irvin Meyers; brother, Larry Meyers; sons, Jeff Meyers and wife Kathy, Greg Meyers, Scott Meyers; grandchildren, Brian Meyers and wife Kristin, Laura Clemmer and husband Jeremy, Nick Meyers, Shelby Maldanado and husband Mike, Brad Meyers and wife Kelly, Amy Young and husband Dustin; great-grandchildren, Clara, Rhett, Ella, Otto, Annabelle, Levi, Rigley, Griffin, and Marlie. He loved his family dearly. He was the anchor.

Visitation will be Friday July 12th 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life service will be Friday July 12th at 3:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel www.woodfinchapel.com
