Dr. Stephan Wesely

Dr. Stephan Peter Wesely, age 58, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026. He was born in St. Ingbert, Germany to the late Rudolf and Heide Schwemm Wesely. Stephan was a man of great faith and loved Jesus above all else. He was a devout husband and father to his family. Before coming to the United States, Stephan built a church in Germany and served as its pastor voluntarily. He was mission driven to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Stephan remained athletic throughout his life. He played soccer in his younger years and continued to stay active riding horses and playing tennis. Stephan earned his Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Frankfurt in Education and Economics.

Stephan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michaela Wesely; children, Joshua Wesely and his wife Isabelle, Simon Wesely and his wife Laura, and Tabitha Dougan and her husband Matthew; grandchildren, Isaiah, Selah, Victoria, and Daniel on the way; sister, Judith Bettingen and her husband Jürgen; nephew and niece, Jonas and Janina; and mother-in-law, Maria Römer.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 6, 2026 from 12:00noon until 1:00pm at New Vision Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:00pm at New Vision Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
