Douglas Doug McArthur, age 62, of Murfreesboro, TN. died Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 at NHC. A native of Davidson County he was the son of the late Stanley Hawkins McArthur Sr. and Mary Louise Strasser. He is also preceded in death by his brother Stanley McArthur Jr. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bob Bush will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. McArthur is survived by his wife; Barbara McArthur, daughters and sons in law; Denise (Greg) Flanagan of Lascassas and Julie (Brad) Vaughn of Eagleville, son; Brian McArthur of Murfreesboro, three grandchildren; Molly and Natalie Vaughn and Kaylee Flanagan, Brother and sister in law; John (Norma) McArthur Sr. of Brentwood, Sister in law; Peggy McArthur of Nolensville and several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. McArthur was a retired supervisor from Bridgestone. His hobbies included long rifle making, racing and long walks in the woods. Pallbearers will be Johnny Taylor, Charles Strasser, Bob Hughes, John Strasser, Jerry Harris, Joey McArthur, Johnny McArthur Jr. and Tommy McArthur.
