Douglas Crenshaw age 78 of Nashville, TN died Friday May 27, 2011 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. He was the son of Archie Woodard Crenshaw and Grace Crenshaw of Dyer, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife Dortha Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw was Army Veteran and retired English Professor from MTSU where he taught for 27years specialized in Old English, Chaucer, and Literature and passed a love of learning and literature on to his family. Mr. Crenshaw is survived by a son Benjamin Crenshaw and his wife Lisa Crenshaw of Bowling Green; brother, Archie Crenshaw and his wife Geneele Crenshaw of Athens, GA; two very special granddaughters, Caitlyn Crenshaw and Rachael Crenshaw. Funeral service will be 3:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Lt. Col retired Chaplin Keith Wright officiating and a prayer by Dr. Mark Hopper of First Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
