Dorris L. Keach, 83 went to meet his Savior, on May 25, 2009, at Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Florida after a period of illness. He was born on October 30, 1925 in Henderson, KY the son of the late Bryan and Lillian Robards Keach. He formed Keach Construction Company in the early 1950s and then TDK Construction in 1983. He worked in the construction industry for over 50 years before turning the business over to his son Tim in order to enjoy his true love of farming and horses. He had a deep love and passion for horses and owned both Tennessee walking horses and thoroughbred race horses. His dream in his later years was to have a winning thoroughbred race horse and this was fulfilled last year with the Robards Rebel. He also loved to hunt and fish and looked forward to Pheasant hunting each October in Winner, South Dakota where he loved the people as much as he loved the hunting. He also enjoyed farming and had farms in both the Robards, Kentucky area and in Winner, South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sherryl Keach Horton. His survivors include his wife of almost 66 years, Margaret Owens Keach, his son Tim Keach and his wife Pamela of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Brooke Horton, Katy Eaton and her husband Adam, Bryan Keach and Fiance Lizzy Roden, John Keach and Margaret Ann Keach; three step-grandchildren, Catherine Neal, Corinne Neal and Tess Neal; and three great-grand children, Trevor Keach, Trenton Eaton and Addison Eaton; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, TN on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m.; Visitation will be at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson Kentucky on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and the funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Robards Baptist Church in Robards, Kentucky.
