Mrs. Dorothy Louise McClaran Swain, age 86, formerly of Beechgrove, TN passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021. She was born in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Woodrow and Frances Mosley McClaran. Mrs. Swain was a 1953 graduate of Central High School and 1958 graduate of Middle Tennessee State College. She worked for the Singer Company for over 40 years retiring in personnel management. Mrs. Swain spent her retirement travelling to many states including Alaska and Europe. She was a faithful member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Swain is survived by her husband, Thomas Swain; son, John Schmidt and his wife Teresa; step-children, David Swain and Lucy Trenkle and her husband David; brother, James Clyde McClaran and his wife Faye; and nephew, Clyde McClaran.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 1:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery.
