DOROTHY ISABELL RIGNEY, age 91, of Memphis, formerly of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, December 12, 2009. She was a native of Washington, DC and the daughter of the late Edward Richard and Clara Elizabeth Day Prather. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyte Sherrell Rigney in 1979 and son, James H. Rigney in 1996. Graveside services 2:00pm Monday at Fosterville Cemetery with Jim White officiating. She is survived by her sisters, Florence Baumgarten of Upper Marlboro, MD, Grace V. Laski of Fort Foote, MD, grandsons, David M. (Mary) Rigney of Memphis, Brian J. (Sylvia) Rigney of Nashville, great grandchildren, Matthew Rigney of Nashville, and Audrey Rigney of Lake City, FL. Mrs. Rigney was retired from the National Bank of Washington.
