Dorothy Louise Puckett, age 86 of LaVergne, passed into her Savior's glory on Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was born in Simpson County, KY, the daughter of the late Hice Williams and Myrtle Oldham Williams, and reared in Lafayette, TN. One of nine children, her only surviving sibling is Joyce Hire of Indianapolis, IN.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, A.C. Puckett; sons, Mark Puckett (Linda) of Tullahoma and Stephen Anthony (Allison) of Lebanon; and six grandchildren, Larissa (Zook) Montague, Shay Puckett, Hayden Puckett, Ethan Puckett, Abbey Puckett, and Carter Puckett.

Mrs. Puckett retired after 30 years of service with the U. S. Postal Service. She was a founding member of Miracle Baptist Church in LaVergne in 1965 and served the church in a variety of roles.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Pastor Todd Kirkland will officiate.
