Dorothy "Dot" York Pressley, age 84, of Smyrna, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Lundy York Sr. and Dorothy Mofield York; brother, Herman "Red" L. York Jr and sister, Joyce Allen.

A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Rev. Barry Culbertson will officiate.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy "Jim" D. Pressley; daughter, Jeanne Pressley Neville of Smyrna; niece, Kay Bradshaw and her husband Randy; nephew, Jerry York and his wife Nancy; nephew, Mike Allen and his wife Rhonda; and niece, Beth Lewis and her husband Marc; along with twelve great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dot was a member of Kedron United Methodist Church. She was a retired Food Service Manager with the Rutherford County School System.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Dot can be made to the Bible Study Group at Kedrom United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
