DOROTHY PERRY MILLER ASH age 81 of Christiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday October 9, 2012. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late J. Alton and Ida Earp Perry. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Miller, son James Miller, brothers J.W. Perry, Henry Perry, and Estill Perry. Funeral services will be 1:00 Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, with her husband David Ash officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Family Cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Ash is survived by her husband, David Ash, daughters Lois (Thurman) Short of Christiana, Ann (Don) Richards of Murfreesboro, Faye (Doyle) Lewis of Christiana, son Clark (Teresa) Miller of Christiana, step children Christy (Kelley) Urquhart of Hartford, AL., Bryon Ash of Wartrace, 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jennie Mae Browning of Murfreesboro, and brother Alton Perry Jr. of Christiana. Mrs. Ash was a member of Hoovers Gap Church, and was retired from Chromalox.
