Dorothy Bryant Lufkin, age 79, of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, September 26, 2013. A native of Bedford County she was the daughter of the late, Willie Jackson and Annie Irene Wright Bryant. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lufkin; sisters, Ann Woodson and Mary Stem; and brother, Charles M. Bryant. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Ron Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lufkin is survived by her son, Roger H. Lufkin and his wife Polly of Milton, TN; grandchildren, Eric Lufkin and his wife Carmen of Chicago, IL and Shelly Lufkin of Murfreesboro; two great-grandchildren, Noah Lufkin and Kenny Drakoulis of Chicago, IL; brothers, C.J. Bryant and his wife, Thelma of Rockvale, TN and James Bryant and his wife Dot of the Deason Community; sisters, Janie Dean and her husband Wiley of Haleyville, AL and Judy Hooker of Shelbyville, TN; her devoted sister-in-law, Frances Richards, Evelyn Baltimore, Marcella Burgess and brother-in-law, Robert Lufkin and his wife Sara. Mrs. Lufkin was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ. She was a retired mail clerk from singer. Mrs. Lufkin's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Herbie Elliott, Jim Jarel, Freddie Maxwell, John D.
