Dorothy Anderson Knowles, age 82, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Knowles was a native of Marlborough, MA and daughter of the late James Alfred and Helen Louise Kenney Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Knowles, Jr. who died in 2003. Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Murfreesboro. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Knowles is survived by her sons Charles T. Knowles, III and his wife Sherry of Kittery Point, ME, Michael P. Knowles and his wife Lee of Smyrna, Kevin R. Knowles of Murfreesboro; daughters Karen Tayles and her husband Gilbert of Kingston, Ont., Janet Sellers and her husband Alan of Murfreesboro, and Beverly Kimbley and her husband Jim of Seymour, IN; sister Carol Beech and her husband Jerry of Tipp City, OH; 13 grandchildren Chad, Chris and Patrick Knowles, Shannon, Kristi and Erin Tayles, Daniel and Nathan Sellers, Erik, Jarrod, and Aubrey Knowles, Joe and Megan Kimbley; and 8 great-granchildren. Mrs. Knowles was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, and was a great supporter of St. Rose School. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. Grandsons and Dave Patton will serve as pallbearers.
