Dorothy E. Hudson, age 92, of Smyrna, TN died on Friday, November 28, 2014. A native of Washington D.C. she was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Emily E. Jeffries Swagart; husband, John B. Hudson Sr.; and brother, John Swagart. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 1:00PM at St. Luke Catholic Church. Father Jacob Dio will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hudson is survived by her two sons, John B. Hudson Jr. and his wife Deborah of Murfreesboro and Richard Hudson and his wife Karen of Smyrna; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Rollins, Nicki Allison, Sara Hatcher, Rebecca Ware, Joseph Hudson, Charles Hudson and Alan Hudson; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hudson was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Until a few months ago she was still driving and took great pleasure in shopping. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. A rosary service will be held on Monday at 7:00PM at the chapel.
