Dorothy Ann Hoover, age 84, died Sunday, January 25, 2015. She was a native of Hoovers Gap Community and was the daughter of the late Silas M. and Arlene Shelton Hoover. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hoover who died in 1992 and two brothers, John Marvin Hoover and Bill Hoover. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lyon Walkup will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her son, Thomas F. Hoover Jr. and his wife Tamra of Murfreesboro; daughter, Belinda Woodson and her husband Buddy of Eagleville; and two grandchildren, Allison Leigh Hoover and Megan Ann Woodson Hall and her husband Jacob. Mrs. Hoover was a member of Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and received her B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She had taught school at Buchanan, Christiana and McFadden schools. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cumberland Presbyterian Church in memory of Mrs. Hoover.
