Dorothy L. Russell Fights, age 90 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was a native of Portland, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Frank Emit McGee and Delia Moss McGee. She was also preceded in death by husbands, John T. Russell, Sr. and Virgil Fights; sons, John T. Russell, Jr, Mark Anthony Russell, James Herbet Russell; a brother, Alvin McGee; half-sister, Linda Willoughby; half-brother, Max Levenhagen; and a grandson, John Thomas Russell, III.

Survivors include her children, Ricky Russell and Timmy Russell, both of Smyrna, Sandra Haberle and husband Pete of Pennsylvania, Ron Russell and wife Lisa of Mt. Juliet, Monty Russell of Woodbury; her brother, Cecil Levenhagen and wife Becky of Florida; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and again Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services beginning at 12:00 pm with Eddie Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in the Jane Jones Cemetery in Fairview, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
