Dorothy Frances "Dot" Spann Center, age 97 passed away Monday April 13, 2015. She was a native of Nashville and was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lula Spann; husband William Center, four sisters, and two brothers. Mrs. Center was a member of Third Baptist Church and a graduate of Hume Fogg High School in Nashville. She was involved with public affairs and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Center is survived by her children, David Center, and wife Shirley of Ballground GA, Thomas "Tom" Center, of Florence Alabama, Elizabeth "Beth" Garrett of Murfreesboro, John Center and wife Susan of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brian Center, Daniel Center, Chad Garrett, Alisha McCall, Kaleb Center, and Kyle Center; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Steve Hutson will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
