Dorothy "Dot" Charlotte Norris, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday September 22, 2015. A native of Palatka, FL, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Dorothy H. Bass Spencer. Mrs. Norris was also preceded in death by her brothers, James G. Spencer, Jr, Marshall, John, and Robert E. Spencer. Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband, Thomas "Pete" Riggs Norris; sons, Thomas M. Norris and Peter R. Norris both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Michael A. Norris of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Michael Joseph Norris and Autumn Marie Norris both of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Nathan Norris, Spencer Taylor, and Abby Nicole Norris all of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Episcopal Church and a retired registered nurse. A graveside service for Mrs. Norris will be held at a later date.
