Obituary

Dorothy Coursey Bean, age 76, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. Mrs. Bean was a native of Bedford County and daughter of the late Harvey C. and Christine Lloyd Coursey. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Charles Mullins, Lynn Watson and Brian Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bean is survived by her husband Foster K. Jr. Bean; daughter Debbie Gatlin of Knoxville; brother James Coursey and his wife Jean of Shelbyville; sisters Libby Campbell and her husband Jackie of Nashville, Bobbie Davis and her husband Tommy of Murfreesboro, and Peggy Mendoza and her husband Domingo of Nashville; brothers and sisters-in-law Marion Bean and his wife Doris of Murfreesboro, Kenneth Bean and his wife Pat of Fayetteville and Faye Bean of Franklin; granddaughters Amy Lefevre and her husband Daniel, Ashley Sachs and her husband Aaron all of Knoxville; great-granddaughter Addyson Grace Lefevre Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Kenneth Gatlin and a brother-in-law James Bean. She was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ, a graduate of Christiana High School, and was retired from Suntrust Bank. Tim Mendoza, Tony Mendoza, Brian Campbell, Bryan Bean, Jay Bean, Randy Reynolds, and Craig Light will serve as active pallbearers. Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
